How to Add a Watermark
A watermark is faint diagonal text across every page. Use it to mark drafts, samples, or confidential copies.
Step 1: Enter the watermark text
Section titled “Step 1: Enter the watermark text”Go to Content to PDF → PDF Designer → Branding and type the text into Watermark. Keep it short: one word reads best across the page.

Step 2: Set the strength
Section titled “Step 2: Set the strength”Watermark Strength (%) runs from 2, barely visible, to 40, hard to read past. The default 8 marks the page without getting in the way of the text.
Step 3: Save and check a PDF
Section titled “Step 3: Save and check a PDF”Click Save Changes, then Open real PDF.

The watermark prints on every page, the cover included. It also shows in the reader’s preview.
Things to know
Section titled “Things to know”- Clear the field to remove the watermark.
- The watermark is part of the page, so it prints too.
- It does not stop copying. For that, use Copy Protection. See How to Password-Protect PDFs.
