How to Set Up a Fixed Discount Reward (Pro)

A Fixed Discount reward is a preset deal, such as 500 points for $50 off. The free conversion lets a customer redeem any number of points. A fixed discount gives them clear steps to aim for instead, which is easier to understand and to save toward.

Set the free conversion rate and redemption limits first, so redemption is switched on.

Go to DevDiggers Plugins → LoyaltyX → Points Rules, then open the Points Redeeming sub-section.

Click Add New. On the Choose Rule Type screen, pick Fixed Discount.

The Points Value row sets the whole deal: how many points on the left equal how much money off on the right, such as 500 Points = 50.

Under Coupon, set the Coupon Label shown in the cart, an optional Coupon Expiry in days, and whether the coupon can be shared.

Set Show to Customer to Show, then click Save.

Back on the list, set the rule to Active, then check the customer side.

The customer opens the rewards area, from My Account or the floating widget, and opens the Redeem tab. Each active reward shows as a card with its points cost.

When the customer clicks Redeem Now, LoyaltyX deducts the points, creates the coupon and applies it straight away. The cart totals gain a Reward line showing the amount taken off, with a Remove link beside it. The order total drops by that amount.

A fixed discount can never take off more than the cart is worth, so a $25 reward on a $18 cart only removes $18. Set a Minimum Cart Amount under Conditions if you want the full value to apply.

If the reward does not appear, check that the rule is Active and Show to Customer is set to Show. Then confirm the customer holds enough points.
