LoyaltyX FAQs

Common questions about setting up and running LoyaltyX. For step-by-step setup, see the tutorials.

How do customers earn points in my WooCommerce store?

In the free version customers earn points automatically on every qualifying purchase, at the rate you set, such as one point per unit spent. Points are awarded when an order reaches a status you choose, usually Processing or Completed. Pro adds signup, review, daily login, birthday and referral earning.

Can customers redeem points at checkout?

Yes. A customer with points sees a prompt above the cart and a Choose Rewards link. That opens the reward cards, where the Points Conversion card takes the number of points to spend. Clicking Redeem Now deducts the points, creates the coupon and applies it in one step, so a Reward line appears in the totals. There is no code to copy. Partial redemption is supported in the free version, and Pro adds minimum and maximum limits.

Do loyalty points expire?

Points never expire in the free version. LoyaltyX Pro adds a points expiration setting where you set a window in days, such as 365. Pro can also email customers before their points expire, so a balance never disappears without warning.

Can I rename the word points?

Yes. Under Configuration and Display Messages you set a singular and plural label. Rename points to Stars, Credits, Coins or any word that fits your brand. The new label shows everywhere customers see points, including the widget and the rewards dashboard.

What can customers redeem points for?

The free version converts points into a discount at the cart or checkout, at a rate you set such as 100 points for one unit of currency. Pro adds reward types including fixed and percentage discounts, free shipping, free products, and Buy X Get Y offers.

Does LoyaltyX work with my theme and HPOS?

Yes. LoyaltyX is compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage and works with major WooCommerce themes and payment gateways. It is translation ready and compatible with WPML, Polylang and Loco Translate.

Can I award or adjust points manually?

Yes. On the Users tab, click Manual Adjustment to add or deduct points for one customer or many at once, with a note. This suits goodwill gestures or correcting a balance. Every adjustment is recorded in the transaction log.

Why did a customer not receive their points?

Check three things in order. The order has to reach a status listed under Award Points on Order Status in Configuration and General, which defaults to Processing and Completed. The rule that should have paid has to be Active. And the product must not sit in an exclusion under Points Earning. The Logs tab shows every award with the order behind it, so an event that is missing there never fired at all.

Why was a Buy X Get Y reward rejected in the cart?

The Buy product has to already be in the cart when the customer redeems. Redeem on an empty cart and LoyaltyX still creates the coupon and takes the points, but the cart reports that the coupon requires specific products and no free product is added. Add the qualifying product first, then redeem.

What is the difference between the free and Pro versions?

The free version runs a full points program: purchase earning, checkout redemption, a rewards dashboard, the floating widget, manual adjustments and CSV import. Pro adds more earning triggers, richer reward types, loyalty tiers and badges, points expiration, per-customer profiles and CSV export.
