Which rule wins when two rules match?
The one with the lower priority number is checked first, and the first rule that fits the quantity and lowers the price is used. The plugin does not compare discounts. Rules with the same priority keep the order they have in the Rules list, so the earlier one wins.
Why does the form say my quantity range overlaps another rule?
Two rules with the same priority, reaching the same products and sharing a quantity, are refused. Roles and dates are not part of the check. Change the range, narrow the targeting or give one rule another priority. A lower number is checked first.
What happens above my highest tier?
If the top tier has a To quantity, anything above it pays the normal price. Leave To empty on the last tier so it has no ceiling. The product page does not warn you, so test a large quantity in the cart.
Do product rules add to the global rules?
No, they replace them. A product with one or more rows in its editor ignores every global rule, even when a global rule names it. A product whose only row is Inactive gets no tier. Remove every row to hand the product back to the global rules.
Can a fixed discount make a product free?
Yes. The amount comes off the current price and the result stops at zero, so a fixed discount larger than the price gives a free unit. The form only caps a percentage at 100. Keep fixed amounts below the cheapest product the rule can reach.
Why is my fixed unit price ignored?
A tier applies only when it lowers the price. A fixed unit price equal to or above the product's current price is skipped, left out of the table, and the cart moves to the next rule. Remember that a sale price is the starting point.
Can I give wholesale customers their own prices?
Yes. Pick their role in User Roles on a rule, and give it a lower priority number than your public ladder. A guest is a choice too. The customer's table also lists the public tiers unless you limit those rules to other roles.
How do I count a mixed basket toward a tier?
Set Count Quantity to Across the cart. The rule then adds up every cart line it targets, sub categories included. Give it a higher priority number than your per product ladder, so single product tiers are checked first.
What does the import check?
It cleans each field, repairs an unknown type or status, and skips a rule with no name or a From below 1. It does not check duplicate names or overlapping ranges, so importing a file twice in Add mode doubles every rule. Review the list afterwards.
Does deleting a rule change old orders?
No. Each order stores the rule name, the normal price, the tier price and the saving for every line. A deleted or edited rule leaves those records alone, so the dashboard and the Tiered Orders screen still show them.
