Tiered Pricing FAQs
Short answers to what store owners ask most about Tiered Pricing. Longer walkthroughs live in Tutorials, and every field is in Configuration.
Is there a free version of WooCommerce Tiered Pricing?
No. It is a paid plugin with one version. Everything in these docs is in that version, and a licence key switches the storefront features on. Without an active licence the admin screens open, but the pricing table, the tier prices and the badge do not load.
Why do I see no pricing table on my product page?
Check the licence first, then the Activate WooCommerce Tiered Pricing box on the General tab. After that look at the rule, which must be Active, inside its dates, and open to your role. A product in the store wide exclusions or with its own rules also changes what shows. Purge any page cache last.
Does the plugin work with the WooCommerce Cart and Checkout blocks?
Yes. The plugin declares support for both blocks, and for High-Performance Order Storage. The tier price and the rule name reach the block pages through WooCommerce's store data, and the savings row appears in the totals under your label.
Can I move the pricing table somewhere else on the product page?
Yes. Display, Position on Product Page offers seven places, from after the image to before the tabs. The shortcode adds a second copy wherever you put it, such as a product description. The next tier hint always stays under the Add to cart form, whichever position you pick.
Does the discount work on sale prices?
Yes, and it starts from the sale price. A Beanie on sale at $18.00 with a 5 percent tier costs $17.10, not 5 percent off the $20.00 regular price. The cart can show the sale price crossed out beside the tier price if you turn on Original Price.
Does it work on variable products?
Yes. The table appears once the customer chooses a variation, and it changes when they choose another. A variation can have rules of its own in the Variations tab. A variation without rules uses the global rules, which still follow the parent product's targeting.
Why did a customer see a different table from me?
The table is built for the visitor. A rule limited to a role appears only to people who hold it, and a rule with dates appears only while it is live. A page cache can also serve one visitor a copy built for another. Test in a private window and then logged in.
Where can I see how much discount I have given?
On the dashboard, under Savings Given, with the orders and the rules behind it. The Tiered Orders screen lists each order with its rule and saving. Cancelled, failed and refunded orders are left off the dashboard and stay on the Orders screen.
Can a customer use a coupon on top of a tier price?
Yes. The plugin has no coupon settings, so WooCommerce applies the coupon to the tier price in the cart. A 10 percent coupon on a $228.00 tiered line takes $22.80, and the savings row keeps its own figure. Exclude sale items does not skip a tier price.
Does the customer see the rule name?
Yes. It appears under the product in the cart and at checkout as Tiered pricing followed by the name. After the order is placed, the name is saved on the order and shown in the order editor. Write rule names you are happy for customers to read.
